during the years i have driven Z cars, it has never ceased to amaze me how many people have a Z story. one of the unexpected joys of owning a Z for me was that of the instant fellowship created with total strangers who each have their OWN Z story.
so with the purchase of this 240Z – the ORIGINAL Z car – i decided to “prod” the story idea and have custom plates that capture one of my favorite parts about owning a Z car…besides driving it, of course.
and for show purposes, here’s my latest description (for the Hot August Days’ show 8/29/2015):
“i’ll be in my metallic green 1973 240Z. butterscotch interior with grey Z32 (300ZX) seats, dual weber 32/36 downdrafts, electronic ignition, motorsport header, custom exhaust w/monza tip, eibach prokit suspension, heavy duty sways front/rear, strut tower braces front/rear. tach & shift light, outlaw II rims, steering wheel, original window sticker and manuals signed by Mr. K.”
